Let's Keep It in Focus
While the ruffians were storming the Capitol, down the tracks, in a sleepy railroad town, three parents were out with their young children, watching the trains go by. That's what life in this country is really like. Let's remember that.
At the same time, let us remember that the Founding Fathers established the electoral system to work as it does for a very good reason: Not every election will have a clear outcome. Sometimes, elections will be disputed. Let us not forget that the electoral college was established to resolve those disputed elections in order to keep peace in our nation.
Yes, I've written about this before. Still, after today's events, it is something that we need to remember: Our Constitution has our backs. We are free to go downtown to watch the trains go by.
